This section focuses on the basics of composition creation and manipulation in Smode.

A composition (or compo) is the most simple type of content document you will find in Smode. A compo is made of a stack of layers that can either be 2D layers, 3D layers or special layers.

Every of those layers has an associated opacity and the layers are blended together. The final result can be altered or adjusted with post-effects that operate in 2D.

A composition has a specified width and height, and gets rasterized (rendered) in real-time, everytime something changes inside it.
